Between all of the Star Trek television shows who was your favorite commanding officer and why? Answers: Captain Kirk, He was a good strategist, shrewd, didn't mind getting his hands dirty, had a sense of humor, a great karate chop and got all the girls. Editor of SciFi Times The Evil Captain Kirk. He was hell bent on destruction. Tim Brooklyn Paul Alirangues from Union, NJ says: Captain Sisko because not only was he the commanding officer, but he was the Emissaryof the Prophets! He also led the war against the Dominion and the war against the Paa Wraiths. Loretta Alirangues from Union, NJ says: Captain Picard because his experience could get the crew out of any situation. Also, he came out of the Locutis experience scarred for life, yet after the initial adjustment was able to function amazingly well. I really like Janeway and Sisko too though. Janeway because she can negotiate anything, and Sisko because he's the Emissary! By the way, Voyager has the best opening theme music. I would have to say, without a doubt, that Capt. Picard was/is my favorite Star Trek Captain. He was the best actor Star Trek has ever seen, both then and now (and was perhaps the best actor on all of television at that time). He has such a forceful manner about him and is always believable. I have long hoped that he would be asked to reprise his role and strongly urge anyone who reads this to write a letter to the producers of Star Trek to plead for his return. Thank you. P. Stewart, London Captain Kirk, because he's the one you can make the most fun of. Your brother Tom, you know where Mark Page, Brooklyn, NY Captain Kirk was the best commanding officer because he combined military obligation with humor and compassion (and sometimes romance). Captain Picard was too serious. Rich from NJ - Kirk because he did all those alien babes.
